Introduction:

The Chemical Wing of the Department of Industries and Commerce, is a multifaced technical division, with varied activities for the development of Industries in the State of Tamilnadu by the way of :

  • Offering testing facilities and issuing Test Certificates for Industries, Government Departments, Individuals, for Raw-materials and Finished Products.

  • Extending facilities for Laboratory investigations on problems relating to chemical and allied industries.

  • Providing Project Profiles and answering technical enquiries on Chemical and Allied Industries.

  • Offering Expert opinion to Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise in issue of DL2/RL License.

Bonafide registered small scale industrial units with the Department are extended 50% concession in testing fees.
